// About MidPledge

Neutral trust infrastructure for AI delegated authority

AI agents are moving from recommending actions to taking them — buying, instructing, releasing data, committing and delegating on behalf of people and organizations everywhere.

Identity says who an agent is. Access controls decide what it can reach. Platforms govern it internally. None of these, on its own, gives an organization on the other side independent evidence of what the agent is legitimately authorized to do — for this transaction, right now.

Verify authority at the source — not from the agent's claim.

Neutrality

Designed to be independent of the platforms that issue authority, so assurance doesn't rest on any one of them.

Portability

Protocol- and platform-agnostic: many authority sources, one consistent way to verify them, wherever an agent acts.

Accountable reliance

The relying party decides; every transaction leaves durable evidence of what was authorized, accepted and executed.

// Long-term vision

Toward globally trusted infrastructure for AI economic activity

As agents transact, negotiate, access systems and delegate across organizations and platforms, a shared trust layer may be needed to answer the same questions consistently. MidPledge is working toward becoming that layer, and toward a global acceptance network around it. This is an aspiration, not a description of current operation.

  • Which agent is acting — for whom?
  • Under whose authority?
  • For what action, within what limits?
  • Still valid — or revoked?
  • Does it cover this exact transaction — and what evidence remains afterward?

Help shape an interoperable trust layer

For organizations, platforms, networks, trust providers, standards bodies and research groups.
